We would like to do a program for your students in grades K through 6.

For advance sales of the book, Alice and I will do a program that includes:

*Encouraging students to develop their gifts and talents, especially writing and art.

*Explaining the publishing and printing process including writing and illustrating.

*Reading the book emphasizing vocabulary development and discussion areas such as soil conservation,     seasons and weather, humor and exaggeration with words and pictures, and personification.             

*Discussing the illustrations and art techniques.

*Questions and answers.

The program is about 45 minutes and can be adapted to 30 minutes, or extended to one hour.  During the course of the program, Alice will be drawing pictures that are given away to the students by random drawing.  Our program is often incorporated into special days at school such as "Young Writers' Day" or "Texas Day". 

An Accelerated Reading (AR) test has been developed for the book.

The price of the book is $19.95 plus sales tax.  For schools, we offer the book at $15.00 and no sales tax.  If your school wishes to use the program as a fund raiser, we can sell the book at full price ($19.95 plus tax) and rebate your school $5.00 for each book sold.
